Urban Osprey

Wrapping up an evening of rather lackluster bird photography with a great friend we saw this Osprey perched up on an old rusty tower. We both noted how there could be a pretty cool image to be had because of the geometry of the tower and the shapes it made. I walked around a bit, trying different compositions and angles. This ended up being my favorite for the symetry of the metal work and the placement of the bird. I rarely post a photo of a bird from such a low angle with a blue sky but this one worked out for me. What do you think?

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
