The Water Drop

Sometimes I'm ok with letting a less then technically great photo pass if it has enough else working for it. This is an example of that. If you view this photo large you can clearly see I missed focus on the eyes. and caught focus on the center of the bill. The little Egyptian Gosling was close enough that shot wide open there was not enough depth of field to get it all sharp. I'm sharing this anyway because of everything else I like about it so much. The lovely soft backlight, golden tones in the water, incredibly cute subject, and that water drop falling off the bill. That water drop is really what makes this a worthwhile shot for me. If not for that drop I probably would have deleted this image. This isn't something I would print big but it's still worth hanging onto and sharing for me, I hope you think the same.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors.
