Singing Parula

This was the first I've seen these lovely little warblers this year and it was a joy to work with this bird for a while. They have one of my favorite songs with the little squeek on the end. This fella eventaully worked his way down to my level and landed on just about the perfect spot on this branch with the textured lichen, to belt out his buzzy song. I got lucky that he landed in the shade becasue the sun was blazzing at this point around 10am. The shade provided some nice soft light and really showed off the detailed coloration of this species.
