Redstart and Lichen

It's been the year of lichen for me so far. I've been finding a lot of perches covered with the fuzzy green growth and I love the texture and color it brings to a nice warbler portrait. Here I got this handsome male American Redstart perched atop this lovely branch in the soft overcast light. The area is finally starting to turn green in the backgrounds with all the leaves coming out and it's showing signs of the end of brown backgrounds down south here, which is always nice. I always love seeing these males, the color combination is so striking in my opinion and with all the green it really stands out.
