I really enjoyed the variety of looks I was able to capture with this Chestnut-sided Warbler on a sunny morning. I rarely photograph warblers on sunny days but with this bird hanging out in a more open field area it gave me some great opportunities to play with lighting. For this shot the bird landed in a shaded area but the background was being lit by the early morning sun, which made everything glow yellow in the background. The perches in this field were all so great looking with the thorns and blossoming white flowers. Then the bird was kind enough to give me a full on song right in front of me, which completed the shot.
