The day after I first photographed the Louisiana Waterthrush this year I was back with a couple of great guys to join me for a workshop with them. We knocked it out of the park and they all got some amazing photos. The birds were incredibly cooperative and gave us a lot of looks. We all had our waders on and were able to set up in the river. At one point a low fog hung over the river which gave us a very unique look to the scenery and I got one of my favorite photos singing high on a textured log with mossy covered boulders and running water. The whole scene came together just right. I had a blast watching the guys get so excited to get the photos they really wanted and they were happy to push themselves to get the shot. It was such a fun day to share this experience with others that love the birds just as much as I do. We found a couple of Pine Warblers on the way out and grabbed a few shots of them too.
