Laughing Gull Pair at Sunrise

I went to this beach with hopes of finding a lot of shorebirds. I only found a few shorebirds that weren't very cooperative so that was a bummer, but there were plenty of Laughing Gulls. This time of year these gulls are incredibly striking looking. I really like their deep black head, white eye lines and those deep red bills make for quite a striking gull. I set up for this pair as they were standing on the wide open beach and glowing in the early morning sun. All the fun bokeh in the background I believe is the sun shining off the shells of the hundreds of horseshoe crabs that were adorning the shoreline in the background.
