Least Tern and Pastels

Initially I was bummed when a cloud bank rolled in about 30 minutes before sunset and turned the backlight right off. Thankfully I stayed just a little while to see what would happen with the light and the sky began to turn some lovely colors in the background. As soon as I noticed the tones in the sky I backed up from the Least Tern sitting on its nest and went vertical just to include some of those sky colors. I also really enjoyed how pretty the beach grasses were in this one section of the beach. With the sun behind the clouds the soft light made everything a soft pastel color tones that I found very pleasing.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
