The previous photo I shared of this bird was a bit more scenic and included the rain. For this one the bird had landed in this spot and stayed put for a long time. I had slowly walked right up to minimum focus on the bird and took this close up portriat on a great perch with the litlte red buds. The background from this close smoothed right out and gave me a very clean look to the photo. I did have to remove a small vine that went through the tail and some out of focus branches on the left side of the frame to complete the clean look of this image. I hope you enjoy how striking this hybrid bird looks, it's one I've wanted to see for a while but never expected I would get such an amazing opportunity with and I'm glad I did.
