Huge Caterpillar

I'll spare you the photos of this Blackburnian Warbler slamming the caterpillar against the branch to kill it before it swallowed it down. This photo was just after it picked the caterpillar off a leaf when he jumped out to the larger branch to do what he had to do. This caused the bird to pause for just a few seconds and I was able to capture this photo of it holding the big catch. I always love getting some type of behavior in a photo and these warblers feeding like this is just what I've been after.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
