Least Sandpiper in the Marsh

Here is another of this handsome Least Sandpiper as it walks along in the shallow mud flats of the marsh. The sun was a little brighter at this point and casting a lovely golden glow on the bird and the bright green marsh grasses next to it. I was laying right in the shallow water for this shot to get the perspective I wanted. When I was on my ground pod the perspective was a little to high and I wasn't able to get the background I wanted. Sometimes you just gotta get wet and muddy to get the shot you want.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
