Lawrence Warbler Singing in the Rain

Revisiting by far the most rare warbler species I've ever crossed paths with here is a Lawrence Warbler from the first time I saw the bird. Standing in this field in the rain with my good friend I couldn't believe my eyes when this gorgeous bird popped out on the top of a nearby tree. Having heard only a Blue-winged Warbler call I never expected to see this species, but as soon as I did it made perfect sense. We proceeded to hang out with this bird for at least an hour in the rain and got a lot of variety. I really liked the fresh spring growth on this perch and I think the rain adds another nice element to the shot.
