Northern Parula Stare

It's always so fun to get any bird staring head on at you, they take on a bit of a different look. I caught this lovely male Northern Parula in a head on stare as it looked back over its wing at me. It also happened to be perched on this amazing lichen covered branch with a distant smooth green background. One of countless photos of this species I took this past spring.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
