Seaside Silhouette

While not the flashiest birds and far from popular among bird photographers I love the Seaside Sparrows. For me this bird's unique habitat is what makes it pretty special. Here this Seaside clings to the side of some tall marsh grasses that create such a wonderful silhouette to me. The gentle curves of the thin grasses and the subtle soft out of focus grasses in the background all make for pleasing lines and shapes to me. The sparrow gave me a great profile pose to show off its shape and the sky was golden in the background just moments after sunrise.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
