Calling Drake Wood Duck

One from a few years ago when I spent a morning from morning laying alon the shoreline of a small pond. I went there for Hooded Mergansers and was pleasantly surprised to find a small group of Wood Ducks swimming around. The soft overcast light worked out great for this colorful drake as he softly called out to the other ducks on the pond. It was just the tail end of the autumn colors and it helped give just a splash of color in the trees behind the duck and in the reflection.
