I was working on some feeder photography for a client and this Carolina Wren came into my setup. Thankfully it landed in the branch before heading down to check out the feeders and I was able to get this shot of it framed in the bright pink cherry tree blossoms. The soft overcast light was perfect and I loved how the bird posed for me in that opening in the middle. These little birds have such character and attitude and are so curious and often agressively defend their territory. They are the loudest birds in the backyard and I alwas enjoy watching them bounce around as they scream at anyting that comes too close.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
