Great Egret Sunset - Realtime Edit

Towards the end of a workshop at one of my favorite places in New Jersey to shoot the sunset was rather incredible. I started running around looking for anything to silhouette in front of this setting sun. I found this Great Egret and lined it up and knew it was going to be an incredible scene. I immediately waved my client over and made sure he got the shot as well, then I took a few myself. I specifically wanted the head of the bird in the sun and kept the exposure more scenic to enjoy more of that color and drama in the sky. I really love trying to create images like this and all the running around back and forth in a foot or two of water is totally worth it to line up this kind of shot.
