Killdeer in Green

My friend and I had worked our way into this area chasing some Great Egrets feeding in the shallow water in a wide open field. Once I got closer I realized there were some Killdeer mixed in and then I focused on them instead. The green grasses were incredibly beautiful in this location and the soft setting sun made for some great tones overall in the image. I specifically left the bird higher in the frame so I could include more of the pretty smooth green foreground.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
