Yellow Warbler in the Rain

One of my first trips to northern New Jersey this past spring was one of the rainiest days I shot in all year. It was a giant pain in the ass but the resulting photos were totally worth the effort and work put in that day. I composed this vertically specifically to include the entire branch the bird was perched on. It also helped to show more of the raindrops against the smooth background.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
